Hardball NY Welcomes Former Major Leaguer Will Cunnane to Instructional Staff
Hardball NY Training Center owner Bill Sullivan has announced the addition of Will Cunnane to his instructional staff.
Cunnane joins the staff after a 16-year career in professional baseball. He originally signed as a free agent with the Florida Marlins in 1992. After four years in the minor leagues, Cunnane made his major league debut with the San Diego Padres in 1997. He spent three more years with the Padres before making stops with the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves.
Cunnane pitched primarily as a reliever in the big leagues, appearing in 184 major league games, while also making spot starts. He contributed to a pair of National League East Division titles with Atlanta in 2003 and 2004, under the tutelage of legendary pitching coach Leo Mazzone, and a National League West Division pennant with the San Diego Padres in 1998.
